Evacuee Response

Many companies with far-flung operations, well away from head office resources face the problem of dealing remotely with personnel who may be involved in an incident or taken ill or injured.

Company resource on the ground may be sparse and there is a risk that personnel and their families may feel that the employer is not showing the expected level of care and concern.

The M&CM First Response Reception teams provide a safe pair of hands in these situations and are available 24/7. Evacuee Services are alerted through the same Callsure system as our Media Management service, with the M&CM Duty Officer providing initial client liaison but handing over to the respective Evacuee Response team leader to communicate directly with the client.

In past cases personnel who have been evacuated in an emergency, arrive with just the clothes they stand up in. Our team will :

  • Meet personnel at the evacuation point
  • Complete triage and evacuee status forms
  • Identify needs
  • Provide clothes, food and money
  • Arrange travel
  • Liase closely with company HR departments
  • In a large scale evacuation, arrange hotel accommodation and local transport
  • Act as company representative at hospitals / reception centres
  • If necessary, escort personnel directly to their homes

To ensure smooth and rapid processing with minimum delays, our team will have made previous arrangements with local hotels, taxi and bus operators and other organisations to be ready to deal with evacuees.

M&CM can provide interpreters where personnel may not have a full grasp of the English language.
